Why can't I let go of this car

So I have a 1994 C280 and over the years I have saved it from the crusher more than once. Between a blown transmission, accident, and a broken control arm mount, this car should have been scrapped many years ago.

This car started out as a stock C280 and have evolved over time to even have been a C36 clone (pre-accident). Still today it has upgrades such as C36 brakes, C36 exhaust, factory xenons, W210 blinking mirrors, lowered on H&R, and the obligatory AMG wheels from a CLK. Still doing battle on the freeways logging 90 miles every weekday the car currently has 214K miles on the clock. I have the opportunity to acquire a 2002 CLK320 convertible with 80K miles for $5K. The stats make this a no brainer but I just can't seem to part with the C280. Eight years newer and 120K miles less....what is wrong with me?

Current state:

Hey man good to hear your car is still running.

You still have your C55 as well?

Hard to believe it has almost been almost a year since getting the parts to put this car back together. I still have the C55. Did you find a suitable C55 for yourself? Is the C43 all back in together?

Paint me equally committed to mine. Hardly in pristine condition, she still runs and has almost 300k miles. When it came time to purchase another car, I wouldn't budge on trading her. Now I have a c230 202 and c300 204 :)
