Saved from the crusher once again
So some of you may recall my C280 (a C36 clone at the time) was rear ended and deemed a total loss by the insurance company.

Bought the car back and put it back together but as a regular C280...no more C36 body kit. Over the past month a creaking noise has developed when braking and accelerating. Suspension looked fine and nothing exhibited excessive play. Replaced the ball joint just for good measure but of course the noise persisted. Last evening upon close inspection I discovered a broken spot weld where the control arm bracket attaches to the unibody. After sleeping on the two options at hand....sending it to the crusher or getting the bracket welded. I ended up getting the mounting bracket welded this morning so once again....a stay of execution.

Sorry, I forgot to take any pictures as I was not only in a rush to find someone to perform the weld but I was also a bit disgusted with the situation as I don't believe this should have happened in the first place. Granted we don't have the best roads up here but to have is happen is inexcusable in my opinion.
