New wheels on my C280 Sport (pic)...

A few of my original rims were slightly bent, so for my non-winter setup, I decided to buy some new rims. Five years ago, I would have went with 17" rims. However, now that I am 35, my priorities have changed and I really don't want to give up the ride quality of the 16"ers. I also didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for new wheels, especially since this is the THIRD set of tires (between two cars) I have had to buy in a matter of 4 or 5 months. I wanted something that looked proper, and these look a little like the AMG split-spoke (although admittedly not nearly as nice). They are the Sport Edition Fox 5. I paid about $130 a piece, but Tire Rack has them for $110 I believe. Tires are Toyo Proxes 4. Well, just thought I'd post a pic here for all to see. If anyone needs a set of reasonably priced 16" wheels, these are an option...

Funny you should mention that, because 3 of them are coming off already (and I just picked the car up today!). They are aftermarket 2" diameter center caps with the Mercedes star. I got the rims and tires from Direct Tire here in the Masachusetts area. Three of the wheel caps are the same, and one is different. The three that are the same are pieces of crap, and are falling off as I write this. They are a stick on of some sort, and I am amazed that they even put them on because they are usually pretty detail oriented about this stuff. The one that is different has a metal body and pops in rather than sticks on. Even the good one is still plastic on the logo portion itself, and I don't feel all that confident that they will look good in a couple of years. I have asked Direct Tire to get me three more of the ones with the metal body, and also to provide me with the four original Sport Edition caps that came with the wheel. Here is a picture of the good one...

Nice looking car Michael.
I have never been able to find OEM quality 2" centre caps.
