Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone had and tips for the following project I want to do.

I currently own a very clean W202 C180 2000 model, I also recently got my hands on a 1997 W202 C250 TurboDiesel, which are extremely rare (25 imported to Australia) and was wondering if it is even possible to swap this engine into my 2000 C180. I understand this involves the switching of all fuel systems, wiring, exhaust etc but both vehicles are update series which I believe will make them structurally identical.

I was wondering there was and big problems I would run into,

-Can you swap all computers from the 1997 to the 2000?
-The 1997 has a mechanical key and the 2000 has the smart key, will there be problems with this?
- Are the engine mounts the same?
-Will this engine be compatible with my current 722.6 Transmission?

Again, I’m just looking for thoughts at the moment.
