is it easy to take off the door molding on the outside? if so, how do I go about doing it? I've got bubbling under there and want to see how bad the damage is underneath that piece.

very easy to do...open the door. lets say the driver door, then grab firmly from the open end and pull forward towards you. the only thing holding it on is a little tapered knob that goes straight into a little fitment hole in the door. dont worry about breaking it cause mostly likely you wont and if you do it is like a $2 part.
