pioneer rf modulated cd changer
i recently tried to install and run a pioneer 6 cd changer cdx 677fm the changer works but the factory radio does not pick up the frequency at all between 87.9 to 90.3. i am dumbfounded as are the radio installers at a local shop. we used adaptors for the european antenna, i have heard that i might need a booster of some sorts ? also the lcd display on my factory cassette deck has the numbers not showing very clearly, and i wonder if that might be the reason why the deck is not picking up the frequencies put out by the changer. help help help....

i dont know what the exact problem is but here is what i know:
1) the LCD display is probably not related to the problem youre having. i have the same problem once in a while with my climate control display where the characters seem to be faded out or blurry. i havent figured out why this happens though.
2) no offense, this is just what i heard: cd changers that run off of radio often times have poor reception and sound quality. plus, i did not know they even made one that was compatible with W202s, or any benzes for that matter. can you give more details on how it was hooked up? what model and year is your W202?

cd rf changer
the car is a 1995 c220 and other than that everything else works great. so i wonder if the antenna adaptor is damaged even though its new or for some reason i need an antenna signal booster.
