Buying a C240 W202
Hello, I just registered.
I am currently living in Indonesia, for years me and my father share cars on daily basis, we own a few E-Class models since my dad is a fan of E-Class, we had great experiences with MB, and now I feel the urge to have one for my own. We only have a few selections of Mercedes Benz in Indonesia as we do not get AMG models, or something higher than 300 engine models.
After much consideration, I am going to buy a 2000 W202 C240 over any models available in the marketplace, also C240 is rare in Indonesia since most of people did not buy cars with bigger than 2.0L back then, a C240 is special amongst any C-Class you can see in the streets of Indonesia, also my benchmark is a BMW E36 which I also owned before.
I have a few questions knowing that W202 C240 uses the same engine as my 2003 W211 E260 (it's E240 but sold as E260 in Indonesia), is it as reliable as the one in W211 or is it not, also what is the downside(s) of owning a C240 in general.
Please help me decide should I or should I not buy the W202 C240.
Thanks!

The M112 is a lovely engine, and generally bulletproof in all of its forms. The downside of the small V6 engines is that you'd expect them to be more powerful if you're judging by the fuel bill If I were you I'd either find a nice C280, or go for the supercharged I4 models. They sound horrible, but are actually rather quick.
