W202 Rear Brake Calipers
Hello all,
I have to do some brake work on my C220. I found that there is rust on the face of the right rear rotor, which leads me to believe that the caliper needs work. I have come across a few calipers for chassis <F443893 (two pin pad models) but I can't seem to locate one for the latter cars (my chassis is F445192, one pin pad). I have several questions:
1) Is it logical to assume that the caliper is shot?
2) Is there a rebuild kit for these calipers? Front rebuild kits are readily available. If so, is it worth the trouble to rebuilt the caliper?
3) In lieu of rebuilding, where might I locate (other that the dealer) a replacement caliper? I have checked many of the places such as The Benz Bin, AutohausAZ, MBZ, BMAParts, etc. to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
