1994 c280 in limp mode
OK so I am new to Mercedes but I am fairly mechanically inclined. I bought the car stuck in limp mode It will idle and rev up to 1500 rpm and then it drops back off. A friend of mine hooked up is scanner and it said it was the throttle body but the throttle body has been replaced with a known good throttle body. So while I was looking into other things I noticed that the wiring that goes to the driver side of the transmission was completely rotted so I rewired it. Itis still in limp mode. Is there a reset?

You have 'inherited the famous wiring insulation defect. All the wiring insulation will 'bio-degrade' so the copper is easy to recover. You will have to rebuild all the engine compartment wiring. There is a fellow on the east coast who rebuilds them for a fair cost, though total cost is not cheap--exceeding the value of the car.
