My '98 C200 stops dead while driving

I Have a 1998 C200 Elegance, been 4-1/2 years of faultless driving... about 2 months ago it wouldn't start after being parked for a short time, now it drives for 15 to 20 minutes and just stops dead and turns over but won't start again. If I leave it to cool down it starts and drives but will stop dead again after 15 to 20 odd minutes. I changed my fuel pump and filter when it started, the MAF sensor was changed about 3 months ago, and I changed my battery 3 days ago... and still it stops dead... it doesn't throw any codes up so this doesn't cast any light on it... HELP!!!

Thanks khomer2, I changed the brushes in my alternator around 12 months ago and she has a brand new battery only a few days ago... she's been in with the mechanic for 8 days now, I haven't called him but as he also hasn't called me so I must assume he's still diagnosing the problem and hasn't got to the bottom of it yet... I have tested all the fuses and relays and he is testing the relays under load in case there's an issue with heat buildup but looking at all the pertinent relays there isn't any heat damage to the cases so I will rule that out also... my thoughts go to the fuel rail not getting any fuel through as none of the cylinders are firing... almost like it's electrical but the engine cranks over still, just none of the cylinders fire... very perplexing and frustrating...

I had the same issue in my C280 which ended up being the position crank sensor, might be the root of the problem.

Thanks Merc Wahlberg (like your name haha)... I've had it in the mechanics shop, changed the timing sensor and tested the crank position sensor to no avail, seems it is the computer hence no codes as they can't diagnose their own demise... decided to bite the bullet and buy an S320 and go in style...
Cheers
