engine turns over but fuel pump not working.new pump
i got one of the last remaining 1997 c280 sport v6s. in da uk.
everthing was going grand .i was renewing everything slowly but surely then i get kicked in the bolloks.
car died on me with no warning...
new fuel pump relay, new fuel pump and filter, new crank sensor.all fuses present and correct.
iv just ordered a k4 relay and camshaft sensor.
car will turn over but not fire one of it 12 plugs.
ignition on first stage but no sound from fuel pump.
i have renewed the fuel pump relay.
i can cross the terminals of the relay ,and the pump will work.car will not start.
any ideas o great wise ones??

Check your oil pressure sender wiring.
Not saying this is how your car works, but for safety, some fuel injected cars use oil pressure signal to enable the fuel pump relay and spark.

i have a live 12v going to the fuel pump relay, but its like its not getting a signal to activate it.i can put the pump on full time by bypassing the relay but still no startup.
does the camshaft sensor send the signal?
oil pressures fine with no faults that i can find visibly or electrically

new mercedes k4 relay bank.
still nothing.
i tried by accidental purchase a k4 off a turbo diesel unit and the pump engaged but not the engine
with a proper k4 theres a sound like a pump from the front but no fuel pump at the back.
anybody any ides ???
