My wife recently backed my 1996 c280 (with only 70k miles!) into a tree. No one was hurt thankfully, but I had to replace the trunk and rear bumper. The body shop sourced a trunk, did the work and everything looks great. One odd thing though: The "new" trunk has this odd little orange and green doohickey next to the lock. The original trunk didn't have this. Anyone know what it is? Danke.
