Air Mass Meter (MAF sensor) price?
Hi,
I'm in need of a new MAF sensor. From the search I read everyone saying I can get it at US$200 online. but I looked everywhere and only could find US$311 the cheapest.
Has the price gone up?
the part number is 000-094-09-48

are they interchangable?
Edit: Oh, they have parts for other makes too.
It was $305 when I checked 1 min ago

Out of curiosity did you check with the MB dealer locally ?
If you factor in exchange rate, shipping and possible custom/brokerage fees it might work out the same if you buy it here.

yes I did.
Ogilvie motors (MB dealer) in ottawa quoted me $440 CAD for the MAF sensor (add 15% taxes on to that). It's just that everyone in the forum said it cost $200US online but now it seems more than $300US everywhere.
maybe I'll be better off just to pick it up locally. Since I can do that anytime, I'll search more for better price and if it doesn't work out, I 'll pick it up this weekend locally.

i told them i can do it in 5 min. they replied with we need to reset it and it will take a hour.
well i had to do it or i waste $250 to diagnose the problem.

I'm even thinking of cleaning my AMM to see if it improves.
I Guess I really don't want to spend much money for repair thinking I'll sell the car soon.
