voltage regulator location?
I have been reading posts all night and was wondering where the voltage regulator is?
I have a '97 c230.

and how do you change it
And how do you change it? My charging system is not working and the diagnostic workup posted on this site indicates the voltage regulator is nonfunctional.
I saw one post that it was a 5 minute DIY but if it is in the alternator this seems unlikely.

It it is in a TO220 package, I think.
