i had my car checked at the dealer and they said that i need to have my head gasket replaced... they are charging me 1200 for it... 1200 is too expensive for me so ill have someone else fix it for a cheaper price but my problem is where can i go get a head gasket for my c280? i cant seem to find it on the net... anyone knows where?

Look on the left at online catalog. Head gasket is 72 bucks. Go to an Indy and have him do it.

 

hey, umm yea 1200 is a lil pricey but...... yea thats a great price on the gasket, get that, good time to replace water pump too. change the valve cover gasket (really cheap) and refinish the head. u got the inline 6 or v? shoulnd't be more than 300 - 400 for labour (inline 6 is cheaper) at a descent mechanic, around 200 to refinish the head, and around another 200 for parts. so like 700-800. 1000 max.

see what the dealer is putting on when they do the job, this or more would be great.

 

how far southern are you. i just had mine done at a great price and would recommend this guy if you're in the area.
