Steering noise based on position of wheel
Hello, need to diagnose a 1995 C280, relatively low miles at 115k. Steering noise while driving, not at very low speeds, only when you hit 30mph on up to highway speeds. Sounds exactly like tire noise. I've heard some people describe it as whirring, but it really does sound like tire noise. If you make a sharp left turn no difference in the noise, but if you make a sharp right the noise goes away.
Beyond check the steering fluid any other ideas?
Thanks guys!

Low Power Steering Fluid – Most common problem- Power Steering Pump Defective
Power Steering Fluid Leak- doubt it, presuming you checked for any leakage- Air trapped in the power steering system
- PS Bearings
- Have you checked the front end bearings ? possibly interpreting the sound as a PS issue?
