Thinking of buying a 2000 C230....
The car has 45k on it and looks like it's in good shape, no negatives on carfax etc. I simply need a 4-door with long
term reliability.

Anything I need to be aware of? I'm new to Benz and this is the
only one I can afford. I had a 70 something when I was overseas in the military and loved it. Very solid car was my strongest memory.

The C230 is bar none the most reliable car that MB makes. When I was in the market to buy mine I did a ton of research and I did not run across one bad report. I have a 1999 C230K with 83,000 and some change. I change my oil every 5,000 and follow the service plan. It is my everyday driver and I average 25,000 a year in miles.
If the can has good service records by all means buy it.
