Replacement gear selector needed...

Hi,
I need a new/second hand gear selector for my C240 estate
Its a 5 speed non-tiptronic box.
Someone is selling one from a C250TD on ebay,
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-...7/263000505260

question is, are they the same?
If they are, are they easy for the average diyer to fit? Or should I get my friendly mechnic to do it?
Many thanks.

Based on your vin#, this is the part #10 you require.

if you decide to DIY, it's a (not-so-pretty) big job (since you have to remove the entire center console to access it.)
You also have to remove the shift linkage from underneath the vehicle.
