Head rest surprise

I thought my head rest didn't work, but I found out today that (unless I'm crazy or my car is messed up) there is a pressure sensitive switch in the back of the drivers seat that requires the driver to lean forward or otherwise not put pressure on the back of the seat for the headrest to move. Anyone else notice this?

Seems like a little over-engineering on MB's part.

Needless to say, it made my day to find out it worked after thinking it was broken all this time.

haha, uh oh - I was hoping it was supposed to be like that. Well, at least it works. That's better than nothing.
