I checked the fuses which are applicable to the CC and vacuum pump and fan. I sprayed with electrical contact cleaner and used emery cloth and reinserted all applicable fuses. Plus, I checked (again) all vacuum lines under the hood and none disconnected or have rubber connectors which are bad. I even pulled out the CC unit from the dash and checked for any frayed wires. All is okay. I tried the windshield defroster and it puts out heat. Then, I cranked up the temp to HI and the fan to max, which resulted in heat coming out the vents. When I lowered the temp to 72F, it was almost cold. And, it appears the engine coolant temp hovers just below 80C when idling. When driving it, it goes even lower, so I'm guessing that it could be a thermostat. Given that the coolant was flushed about 2 years ago, and it's not showing any discoloration, I don't believe anything is clogged (which could result in just the opposite issue), but the thermostat was not changed at that time, I will spend a few bucks and change out that puppy. If that still results in no improvement, I may look into swapping in a used CC unit, or just leave it alone and sell it "as is".
Thanks!
