I have this problem occasionally on the 1994 C280. It will, randomly, have trouble starting. One morning, I started the car and it revved up quite a bit; my foot was not even touching the pedal. Possible causes for these problems and are they related?

Clogged injectors, fouled sparkplug, Mass airflow sensor going bad....it could be a number of things. I would take it to a shop and have it looked at. Unfortunately that is one of those questions that isn't easliy answered on a forum.
