A few glitches on my 00 C280 Sport

I have always wanted a Mercedes but now I know why some people stay away from them. I recently purchased a 00 C280 sport with 45K and I'm already starting to experience mercedes' electrical problems. My climate control display has gone bad and the digits are fading; the clock on the odometer has also gone defective with the digits breaking up. Are there more to come? how much to fix these things? This is really getting scary cos I use this car as my daily commuter. Should I expect mechanical probelms as well?

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
you shouldnt judge the whole brand from one defective example. plus you purchased it used, you cannot blame what a previous owner may have done to the car on mercedes benz.

Of all the problems I have ever heard of Mercedes having, those are two things that I've never seen go bad. I'd replace them (junkyard parts) if possible and stick with it. You have the best, and most reliable c class to date so it should be very easy from here on out as long as you stick with scheduled maintenance.

Are any of these exposed to direct sunlight? Sometimes when I leave my car parked with sunroof open the radio display will not work til it cools off. Not sure if it`s the same for other LCDs in the car though.

Display on the climate control going out is a fairly common problem. If you are familiar with electronics, you should be able to open up the CC unit and check the LCD panel connections and make simple repairs.

2000, C230 kompressor sport,
Little problems on my c230

I bought my, 2000, c230 kompressor from the dealer that was Starmarked. So far I have been back two times for minor service....Sticky rear window switch, creeking noise from rear seat while vehicle in motion, drivers seat has play/gap when in motion, sunroof shade cover broken....
My warranty expires in Aug so I went to take care of all these problems free of charge.
