Need to find a MB repair shop in Maryland

Does anyone know of a MB independent repair in the maryland/DC area? Would it be wise to buy parts and just pay the labor to an independent repair shop as opposed to the MB dealership? This is in regards to a 2000 C280 sport. My vehicle now has 46K+ miles, I do not know what the previous owner has done in the past. What services should I do now to be on the safe side. Thanks for your continued prompt response to my posts.

Are their prices reasonable since they are in the bethesda area? I would like to service my car soon so should I just buy the parts and just pay for their labor?

You asked for recommendations for independent MB repair shops in DC/Maryland. You dont seem to like the Bethesda location which is right on the DC/Maryland line. They dont appear to gouge, and they only work on german cars.

If you do need a different location, I would suggest you go to the tirerack website, enter a zipcode and check out their list of preferred installers and then call them - thats how I found the place I use to begin with...maybe what you are really looking for is a reliable gas station/repair center - I understand they can be cheaper but I dont mind paying for specialized experience.

I cant answer you questions about buying parts before you take the car somewhere - that doesnt seem to make a lot of sense to me. How would you know other than say an oil filter, what is really needed? Call places and ask them what they charge for parts and labor for a complete 50k mile B-Service for your car and that will give you a sense of what you are in for.

I usually go to RC Imports in Rockville. Right behind Rockville Metro. They only work on Mercedes.

I heard Mitch Carr in Kensington is also pretty good.

To find out what has been done under warranty, you can call the dealer and get a print out. (Vehicle Master Inquiry)

I'm not trying to be cheap here, i know i drive mercedes and service is usually expensive, just wanted to get your opinions on their service. I work in the bethesda/rockville area so it is to my favor and to be clear I don't REPAIR MY CARS AT GAS STATIONS.

Thanks guys for your input.
