backlit LCD clock burned out... easy fix?

The backlighting on the LCD clock has not worked since the day I bought the car, and its driving me nuts. I can read the clock, but only during the daylight. My temp/odometer displays are still visible at night. Is replacing the bulb an easy fix? I might as well replace them all, how long would that take/how difficult? Thanks

If it's a similar cluster to the 208, it's really easy. The bulbs are in twist out holders and are either size 194 or the smaller size (74 I think). You'll definitely be able to see what it is once you take the holder out. All you need is the tool to pull the cluster.

C280
I had the exact same problem when I bought my 95 c280. It drove me absolutely nuts. You can't see the clock at night and it pisses you off. Before you tear anything apart, let me tell you how I fixed mine. I was trying to change the time and I was pulling out the switch to twist it, only my fingers must have been moist so it slipped and snapped right back in. To my amazement the light popped back on! I was so excited. So jsut pull on it and let it go, the switch should snap back. It might not work for you but it did for me.

its very easy... 5 minutes. pull the cluster... you can make your own tool with a coat hanger. pm me if you need "how to" on it.
