silver vision

which size of the hyper white silver vision blubs for the corners fit the w202's umm if they are different for each model and year then ones that will fit 1997 c280, i know there is a 156 157 and 168, procarparts has them up, I was thinking of just heading down to autozone or something and picking them up, and ideas?

I wouldn't use anything more than stock. I once had higher wattage bulbs and for the first few months, they were fine but still not as bright as stock in the rain or dark. I decided to get "Phillips Vision Pluses" which are whiter than the stock yellow and it's stock wattage that produces a little more light than the stock. 55w/60w

When I took the high wattage bulbs out, the wires were starting to melt onto the base of the bulb socket! I'm sure if a few more months went by, i'd have no more wires there.

If you want legal corner bulbs, get Sylvania "Silverstar" bubls. They will look exactly liek the stock bulbs (two contacts on the bottom) except when not lit, they will appear silver, but still flash amber when activated.

whats the watt of the stock blub, and as stated before I would like to go high, but i don't want it melting http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc25106.htm, white blubs are legal, I guess its just meant for none standard colors such as blue/red, are the silver vision lower than stock, and which size should i get, and yes autozone is gay, but its right there no shipping delay, if there is a way to do something where everything won't melt, (copper base?) let me know, but I must say white looks very nice, and its gonna suck trying to get the corners out, those bekkers corners do not want to be removed

Ash-
I have 100W's..for over 6months,I just examined the wires and there is no melting.. I can't say that it has never happened but I think its ok..unless you live in Alaska..I purchased GP Thunder Lamps..H1 for highs and 1157 for reg. I think they are great.. I am not an expert though and may pay for it later...
