Replacing passenger door shell- Issue and question
It's NOT a straight swap if you attempt to replace W202 door shell from one year model to another.
I am currently running into a couple of issues replacing the front passenger door (2000 C230 Kompressor). Namely, the door shell bought from eBay has different arrangement of holes that does not fit the electronic box from my 200 C230 Kompressor door. I may have to grind out the plastic hooks from the box and attach with some glue. Any recommended bonding glue for my application?
Secondly, I don't know the year model the replacement door shell was stripped from but there is no hole for airbag.
Is it ok if I don't install the airbag at all? I am really bad with drill tool.

As an added issue, if your side airbag is not wired up correctly, you will most likely get a SRS error code.
How did you manage to obtain a fleabay door that doesnt match?
Whoever the f* (And there were multiple of them) told me it's a straight swap the entire model year can go to HHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLL LLLLLL!
Alright. I am sure someone else must have gone through this. What do I do now? The airbag especially... I can have it connected hanging inside the door panel avoiding the SRS error code but that wouldn't be advisable.

Part numbers have to match and/or be cross referenced, to confirm any year-to-year fitment. Typically, one needs to go by vin# and even, then, one should confirm with the stealerships parts dept.
Heck, I dont even trust what the fleabay sellers say, unless they offer a 100% full return policy, Full disclosure, majority sellers may have disclaimers to protect their @sses.
