If you remove the carpets in the trunk, the flat one then the passenger side trim, you should see a bunch of wires. The ones you are looking for are bundled as a cable, with a male plug at the end. The latter plugs right into the deck.
Good luck

hi torric
is it possible mine came without these cables?
i removed all carpeting even pulled the side covers out of the trunk, nothing there. I know what the cable looks like since i have another 97 benz with a cd changer.

For me the hardest part of installing my changer was finding the cable. I knew where to look and what it looked like but it was buried pretty good.
Orange cable with a green cap on the plug and a small black cable bundled with it. I had to remove the whole inner trim panel on that side.

Should be where the battery is (to the right of it). Also, I found out before the
changer was picked up by the head unit, I had to pop radio fuse; reconnect;
enter radio code; and it worked. Took me days to figure this out. Hope it helps someone else.

Not really sure. I popped the negative off the battery (did the same thing but
another member flamed me for doing it that way).

cd changer cable
If you have a pre-2001 car the orange fibre cable is glued up behind the carpeting to the right of the battery. You will not see it in the cable bundle right off. It will look as if it is running back to the head.
