my c230k is showing higher temp than usual is it just the thermostat? man anybody else have temp problems and high cabin temperates when the car is running hot, is there anyway to dissipate the heat coming from the front floor pannels?

Change the thermostat first since it's less than 10 bucks.

My thermostat fluctuates at times. It'll get as high as just below 120 and go down when I start driving, usually on HOT *** days with the A/C running. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it and told me that at times you'll see it rise when the temp of the engine gets a hotter than normal. I've heard it's cause the thermostat gauges in our cars ACTUALLY report the engine temp and don't just go all the way red when the engine is in trouble (like an idiot light). If you look at most GM's and Ford's you'll see this in action. You won't see them fluctuate much. Chevy's will go to 210 or there abouts (on V8's) and they'll stay there and only go higher (all the way red zone) when the engine is overheating. Someone maybe back me up on this?

Your talking about the thermometer, not thermostat.

ehh it was just the outside temp

yeah it wasjust the outside temp making it so hot driving around locally i took it to on a 2000 mile trip and it ran good with the a/c on and cruise control doing 80-90 but i still wish the engine temp wouldnt have so much affect on the cabin temp near the floor panels

95% of the driving I do is city driving. My floor panels never get hot and the AC is always cool in this 90 degree heat. You probably do have a problem with you engine temp.
