What do I have?
I am the owner of a 1994 C280. I have many times wondered why it has a 3199cc engine. Shouldn't it have a 2.8 liter engine? Incidentally, it's quick as a bunny!

It says 'C280' on the back? Wow, something's wierd. Yes, you should have a 2.8-liter 194 hp inline-6, but obviously you don't. How do you know it's 3199 cc? Is it an inline-6 or a V6?

It says 3199cc on a data plate under the hood. I discovered this several years ago after I first bought the car. I took it to a non-Mercedes repair place for an oil change. The oil filter for a C280 won't fit. So he got one for a E320. It fit. I'm not sure if it's a V6 or inline. I'll have to look tomarrow.
