What's Next?

This post is probably only for the viewing of Mr. A. Kan, because no one else talks about mods as much without actually going through with them as he. So my question is, which one (or combination) of these things should I get next IYO... I am looking to spend around 500, so keep that in mind Kan. Let me know-

-Sholly

Tint (25%)- $150
Bilstein Shocks- $300 (already lowered with H&R)
Zebrano Shift Knob- $70
Powerchip- $390
Remus Cat Back- apprx. $500
Something Else- $?

Ashtray delete cubbyhole. It's the coolest thing, especially if you replace your radio with a 2-DIN unit or COMAND and don't have the cubbyhole below the radio anymore. What better way is there than this to spend $60 on the tray, felt insert, and power outlet socket?

I wish

Scorchie- that would be a great mod for me, but for one small detail. I have my switches for my interior neons mounted on the tape storage insert, so I have to keep that. Maybe I misread your post, but if it replaces the ashtray, then I could do that. Do you sell that part? If so, I am interested.

you know one day, I will kill all of you...tint, shocks, and some chrome parts IMO, I'd rather have a bunch of little upgrades than a single huge one if there is the option, well it all depends, at any rate, if you remember to the time when the guys on mbworld.org were talking about the sun roof lining in w202, you'd realize that has nothing to do with this at all, in conclusion I hate you, I hate you more than I hate apple pie, and I HATE apple pie.

Yeah, if you have your switches on the tape storage insert (we use that part to hold the climate control when updating to COMAND or 2-DIN), then you're OK. It replaces the ashtray and small cubby in front of the ashtray.

Let's see if we can get tpliquid to post a good pic, since I can't find mine now.

hey aho

Hey aho, I'm great, how about yourself. The only problem with the exhaust is, it really won't do much good (performance wise) without a chip. Well, come to think of it, it wouldn't add any performance anyway. It would make the car sound much nicer, as I've heard a Remus on a 3.28i and it sounded 100% better than stock. How much do you think it would cost me installation wise? (local shop, not stealership)...

and to -s-, If tp will post that picture, I'll take a look and let you know if it's something I want to do. Is the power socket you mentioned attached to that tray, or is it optional? I'd rather go without that if possible. Thanks for all your help and wisdom- -Sholly

i'm good, thanks for asking. the exhaust... for performance gains the chip alone also isnt going to do much for you either. install expect about $60 to $80.

does the chip have to be retuned if you get a chip then exhaust then, intake, or will it learn what is added and reprogram itself?

Get remus

after you're finished with all your mods, get a chip.

That's the way I,m going and I think it's the ebst and less expensive (no reprogram)

hm

Good point Herr space. One other question... I think this issue may have come up on Benzworld.org, but does anyone know if AutoRice.com can be trusted??? I just wanted to get some seatbelt pads ($10 or something) but their website looks a bit shady. Any experience with them?

Hey aho, BTW, are you going to that meet that Frank on Benzworld was cooking up? (in NJ I think) I'd like to check that out- It'd be nice to meet you and represent all the 202's.
