c220 1996
Instrument cluster dead, now what?
The instrument cluster in my 1996 C220 died last fall and I sent it away to get repaired but they said they can't fix it. I can drive the car without the cluster installed but I would at least like a gas gauge.
So what are my options now?

Buy a used cluster. Will that work without having to get it programmed? I don't care about the odometer.

Can I install an after market gas gauge using the wires coming to the instrument cluster?
