I have a 1997 C230 with the base inline 4 cyl. I recently did a big service to the car for longevity, motor mounts, trans mounts/service, brakes, coolant. I also have been trying to find a c43 motor to swap into my car, but after a lot of research, I discovered that it is a nightmare to do, and it takes a lot of extra parts to even get it fitted properly. That's when I found a 2000 C230 Kompressor with a very clean and well kept motor. The vehicle does not run do to the previous owner destroying the transmission, and on top of that destroying the interior. I was wondering if anyone has swapped a Kompressor motor into their base c230, and what I would have to do. I have access to a lift and all the tools I need. The only issue is what I have to do.
