For some unknown reason, I depressed the accelerator once before starting the vehicle.. The car would not start...it just stalled. I waited 5 min and retried turning the ignition key...the engine then started up. Is that common if you accidently push on the gas? I guess I was thinking I was still in my Chevelle.

actually, this is somewhere in the user manual, not to depress the gas pedal when the engine is cold. However it is sometimes necessary when the engine is warm (in the manual too).

I had the same problem . I have adjusted the idler little bit , it is ok now
