Check Engine Light Coding
Hello,
I have a 1998 C280 euro version. These cars have no check engine light. I decided to install the bulb where the CEL light is supposed to go. Obviously it didn't light up. So I decided to recode my IC with Star from Rest Of World to USA. The CEL light now illuminates when I turn the key and turns off after engine is on. I was really excited that it was working.
Now I made some tests to check functionality. I removed the MAF sensor so that I could test the light. It does not come on. Do you think I still need to do additional coding?
Anyone with good DAS Star Xentry knowledge that could help me out?
