Oil change reset light!!!
I just did an oil change myself and I wanted to reset the light. My car didnt come with an owners manual. But I was reading a thread and someone mentioned I try that but it dosent work.
Close the door
put the key on the second position
hold the service button 0 for 15 seconds.

Here is how it really works:
1. Turn ignition switch to # 2 ( run ) position.
2. Immediately press the odometer re-set switch twice within 1 second.
3. Turn ignition switch back to # 1 ( just key in ) position.
4. Press & Hold odometer button & turn key to # 2 position.
5. Hold for 10 seconds.
6. Your new service interval should now be displayed.
7. Release odometer button.
You're done.

In my case, after following the instructions in the factory operator's manual at least five times with no result, I followed the above instructions WITH THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT FASTENED and it worked - reset to 10,000 miles. There were two differences (some of this may just be happenstance or superstition). The above instructions say to hit the 0 button twice in one second while the factory manual says twice in four seconds, and I had the driver's seat belt fastened.
On a premium segment vehicle it shouldn't be this difficult. But I come from BMW-land, and there are plenty of "it's just that way" things there too. Hans and Fritz must think differently than... just about anyone else.
