car phone uninstall

has anyone ever disconnected the car phone and taken it out of the car?
i am planning on doing this and i just want to know how this is done.

The phone electronics are located in the trunk behind the left trunk liner.

yes, the phone display is below the radio

that far? ok...i will try to look for that in the trunk.

rookie, when you say, "disconnect the phone and take it out of the car", are you referring to un-installing all of your phone hardware, or simply taking the portable handset out for a walk?
