1995 C280 No start, No hope.

Hello Fellow Enthusiast!

Recently acquired a 1995 c280, 136k miles. Wasn't working when purchased, now I can't seem to get it to run. Car cranks pretty hard and turns over for a second then dies, unless I push the gas pedal (throttle is unstable though and once i take the gas off it dies.) It also makes a pinging noise in the engine, kinda sounds like too much fuel is going in to the cylinders? Ive also tried spraying starter fluid in the intake, it will start right up. It also feels like the whole car wants to jolt forward, I keep the trans in neutral when trying to start.
Replaced:
-OVP
-Fuel Pump
-Plugs
-coil connectors
-battery
-1/2 tank of gas
-accelerator clip

also tried cleaning MAF. I bought a new Crank sensor, will be putting in tonight. Honestly not sure where to go from here, the car just cant seem to start.

Running on starter fluid means lean, as does pinging (predetonation) running somewhat at WOT and also the jumping (lean surge). With how bad you describe it, I would look for a large vacuum leak.
