Intake, exhaust, chip, turbo, etc. What are you looking to do and how much are you looking to spend?

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
ummm, you dont have everything done... you actually have a grille, ugly eyebrows, and a flat hood badge.

motor, you can do forced induction, nitrous, headers, throttle body, cams, bore out, blueprint... alot of options.

I'd make that 2 and 2.

I got my chip from powerchip group. It gave me about 20 horsepower with exhaust for $450. They have the most professional service in the industry. Turbo is less likely to give you problems than supercharging but there's no chance in finding a kit installed for $6,000. You may want to do intake, exhaust, chip, and possibly new cams. That will run you near $2000 which will give you enough money to get some 18" wheels and tires and a really good suspension kit.

sorry to butt in, mosselmann is a good place to start but, the dealer list that they give seems to me like its outdated. Iv'e tried contacting those close by me, and they all never respond back. I've never even been able to get a price on a kit for a c280

Denlasoul, I just want a price. Besides, I wouldn't actually be able to get one here in the near future on account of being broke as hell. thanks though

I contacted the one in illinois and they told me that for my car the 2000 w202 sport it would be $12k for the supercharger installed and it would take me from the stock 193hp to 332hp and thats guaranteed with a dyno report!! but $12k!!!

12K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats freakin retarded! Thats actually more than double for what I paid for my c280. I wonder what the bi turbo kit costs....30, 40 grand? Face it, you can't make the slower cheaper benz's fast for a decent price. A brand new turbo kit for a Honda is about $2900, right? My friend has a Drag kit on his civic (b16a2, SI motor) with stock internals @ 13 psi and I watched him run consistant 13's, his best run yet is a 12.8. Thats cheap speed. I don't give a **** if its a honda or not. I want to make a c class or a 190 that fast using a kit for that price!!!!!!!!

yeah i know 040mercedes, you can go out and buy civic and eclipse parts for a dime a dozen...that guy i talked to must have thought i was a he was asking me when i was going to bring it in and what my credit card # is and all this other crap, i was like who dude slow the f*ck down i dont have $12k growing on a tree in my back yard!! and then he proceeded to get snotty because i didnt have the money to get one...he probabbly drives a '87 geo or sumthin'-->WHATEVER...the price is nutty and im not getting one-whoever can affrod that-more power to them but its pointless to put $12k in a car that costs that used...you said you paid around $6k for yours that sucks for me i paid $23k...mine is a 2000 C280 Sport i bought it with 9k miles what is yours?

I paid $5200 for mine with 119k on clock at the time of purchase. So 12k is ridiculous for me. I think any benz owner would think thats ridiculous, unless you just threw down some change for a brand new cl or sl. Someone needs to develop a turbo kit for the older lightweight contenders from benz, that us broke dudes drive, like the c class and the 190. Sure i could make a kit myself, but i don't have the time to fabricate parts nor the place or the tools to do such a thing. Maybe if we complain to lets say, Bekkers Import enough, they will develop a kit for us 202 owners....

I agree the prices on those things are way too high! I want to make my c230 faster but not go broke doing it. (Medical school is going to hurt enough!). I guess putting in a new chip might be the best and cheapest way to go.

FELLAZ! I agree with the both of you...i dont have $12k sitting around...but what 040mercedes said is not a bad idea---> i will try to call bekkers and some other companys to see if they will be interested in developing a supercharger or a turbo kit for the w202 mercedes that is actually affordable for people like you and me...this might sound far fetched and it actually is- but if we put word out on the net and get enough people to do a group buy with us,it might work it never hurts to ask...and dont get your hopes up but you never know-->if youi guy think it is a good idea then write back on this thread or e-mail me and let me know,if you think it is retarded leave me one of these... -haha-later guys!!!

Finally! someone who sees it my way! I think its a great idea. I already emailed bekkers import and am still waiting for a response.... I was thinking though, to get more people involved, we need to talk to the 201 and 124 owners as well, see what they think about it. then we have more people to bug the **** out of whoever wants to make one. I figure the 202, 201, and 124 share the same drivetrains (for the most part) and would be easy to R&D a turbo kit for the 4 and 6 cyliders models. Hell, if you go to garretts website, they already tell you what the best turbo is for your motor. All that a company would have to do is fabricate all the piping, manifolds, oil lines etc, and find a decent engine management unit and slap it on a test dummy, test it to make sure that its cool to run on stock internals at any givin level of boost maybe even give future upgrade paths, give a disclaimer saying they aren't responsible for blown engines yadayadayada and give a warranty on certain parts of the kit so as not to screw anyone over!!!! Then when they make a kit that I can spend a decent amount of money on and spend a weekend bolting it up, they have completed their task and can start manufacturing a **** load and make lots of money (hopefully) and everyone is happy

HKS. brilliant! thats a good place to start. I'm still waiting on bekkers. I found a place on 190revolution that may be a player, his website is
mrp-engineering.com his site is under construction now, but i'm fairly sure he makes turbo manifolds for for our cars. So we could probalbly get him to do kits. Not sure if they would be cheap though.

That sound great! I havn't gotten a response to my e-mail yet from HKS but i still have my fingers crossed...hopefully this goes through, we would have some fast *** cars thats for sure!! right now i am going to go to a well known car modifier in Chicago and see if he can do anything for us...my dad knows the father and his son is the one that runs it...he told me to bring my car by so he can look at it and see if he can machine certain parts, and see if there is enough room for a turbo...if there isnt he said that a supercharger would do the same thing almost but he prefers turbos...hopefully i can get back to you about it by tonight 11-06-04 @ 11:30pm central time
