Amber light on speedometer

Amber light on speedometer
I have 97 c230. A small round amber light on my speedometer has come on. It is between the VDO and Miles lettering, offset to the right. I cannot find the meaning in the manual or in the forums. Does anyone know what it means?

At least on mine, its a small circle to the left and slightly above the refuel light that comes on when you are near empty. I can see that it is a light, but on mine it is not lit at this moment. I do not think my car is equiped with traction control

Is it an amber triangle by chance???? if so its the light for traction control, it flickers on to let you know..... no traction.
