Foglight installation question
required wiring harness and connection in the switch. My 2003 GTI didn't come
with them and needed harness (new lights as fogs are inside and you couldn't
just add them) and new switch. Big $$ just for that.
filthy. I so a post of a guy selling the fogs and want to see how hard to install.
Like my other post mentioned, my GTI had to get a whole lot of stuff done just
to get fogs.
No, I haven't had any problems with the MAF due to using the K&N. I'm getting
pretty close to completing the custom air intake with the K&N on the underside of the car away from the engine bay. I have an AEM bypass inside the engine bay and the overall length is about 19" (using 3" pipe - so it sits low behind the front bumper - just so cool air hits it). I hope to have the piece done by mid December (will post pics of it so I can help others).
I attended the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, two weeks ago.
Talked to the engineers at the K&N booth and was told the following.
K&N has done VERY extensive testing on MAF's ( just about every make you can think of ).
By testing, they mean COMPLETELY SUBMERGING the MAF in their filter oil !!!
Their conclusion:
Some MAF's are better than others, but most were not affected by this test.

If I had TONS of free time, I would educate you on MAF's.
