"No CD changer"
but of course, it does. What's been you guys experience here? Car is a 200 c230 with miles well out of warranty. Thanks for any insight....

Yes, changer loads...
and lights up. I'm assuming the front end is not receiving info from the back. Perhaps a pinched or dead cable, maybe just a "re-boot" will do it...

1) disconnect power to the head unit for a minute
2) reconnect-fuse to supply power
3) turn on head unit
4) enter code and the system will rescan attached changer.
It's crazy but it worked for me. Good luck.
