Has service light failed?
I am about 15,000 miles past my last oil change and the service wrench symbol has not yet come on. I am concerned. Any similar experiences? How does the system know that the oil needs to be changed? Is it a function of the miles or the viscosity of the lubricant?

Thanks-Now What?
Thanks for the tip. Display shows that I have 2300 miles until my next service. That would mean that about 18,000 miles would have passed since my last oil change. I understand that the synthetic oils really only need changing because they get dirty and not because they break down. I a little concerned that I might be damaging the motor.

It's all good.
The computer not only monitors the ,mileage driven, but also many other things.
It is capable of extending your intervals ( based on " ideal " conditions ).
You're fine.
