Need advise buying used MB 230K

I have been quoted $16,000 for a 2000 MB C-230K with 42,000 miles. It is coming off lease and the local guy goes to Atlanta to buy at auction. I have bought from him before and it worked out well. Car will be checked out by local independent shop owned by a certified MB mechanic.

He descibed it as "Smoke Silver with beige interior".
Interesting color combination.

I am also considering a BMW 328i.

Any thoughts on the price? It sounds good for Savannah, GA

Any problems I should look for?

Advantages or disadvantages vs BMW 328i?
