little help please
How do you pop off the "overhead console" piece that contains the dome lights and sunroof switch. I don't want to pry on it and break it. Is there a simple way to pop the whole thing off? I have to change my sample blower motor, which is located up in there. Thanks in advance.

Robby,
I'm assuming you replaced the sampler blower motor ? Was it just an "easy remove and replace" type of job, or is there more to it ?
What was wrong with it, or rather what symptoms did you have ?
Thanks.

Hello. My symptoms were a constant buzzing noise up in the "roof console" (the thing with the dome lights and sunroof switch). I merely pulled down from the sides of the console and pulled it down. The sample blower motor is only a couple of inches long and has a plug going to it. It pulls out, then you just unplug it and pop the new one in. Now there is no extremely annoying buzzing noise anymore! I bought the part for only $80 (with free shipping) at this site.... http://www.discountmbparts.com

Wow! That thread is over a year old! Good find! As for pulling that piece down, I remember I was a little afraid to pull on it too hard, in fear of breaking it, but once I got a little aggressive with it and shimmied it and pulled down with a little force, it came off. Just try to grab it with almost every finger from both sides of it and pull straight down, while shimmying it a little and you should do just fine. Good luck!
