Spacers????

i need a little help here. i bought 19 inch wheels with a 35 offset, BUT i was told for 19's for a c-class i need a 40 offset. is that true and is that what spacers are needed for? i see ppl talk about spacers to make their rims fit BUT i don't know what they are. if anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

yes that is what spacers are supposed to be used for, just make sure the spacers you get are huh centric, i used the 5mm in the front, and they were not, and it caused a vibration like the tires were out of balance. i think i am going to use my 10mm spacers on the front, and replace the rears with 15mm spacers. i want my wheels to be flush with my fenders. the fronts will be, but the rears will still be a little in. i guess i shouldn't be such a cheap skate, and invest in some staggered wheels. you are doing it right. which wheels did you get? staggered?

Where did you get your spacers? Did you use the stock lug bolts with them?
TIA

Autowerksexpress.com is where i got my spacers, and i believe you must use longer bolts. the bolts were made by H&R. but if you are going to take the spacers off, you MUST use the stock bolts again on the back. otherwise you will destroy the parking brake.
