I was just wondering what can be done to fix the noise from my drivers seat. I have already searched the forum. I have tried to do what the other fourms have said to about this problem. Also, I have taken it to the dealer and they said they greased the attachments to the seat. The problem is still there. Is it difficult to remove the seat? Or am I just too fat for my little C? Any help would be great.

if your referring to the squeeking noise made by the leather rubbing against the plastic molding pieces, your dealer should put felt on the plastic trim pieces to stop the rubbing sound. i had that same problem and my dealer did that to both the driver and passenger seat.

my dealer did it for me. it took them 2-3 times to get it right but it doesnt make any noise any more. the driver side made it all the times, since im always in the driver seat. the passenger side would only do it when someone sat in it. in my case it was defintely the seat rubbing against the plastic trim pieces.

Is this a "WARANTEE COVERED ISSUE"?
I'm takin it in either way. I don't mind the noise when i am by myself, as the radio is usually UP. But every person who gets in the car comments on the noisyness of the leather rubbing up on the plastic.

Take out seat, install Recaro seat on rails, put back into car. Problem solved!
It's a world of difference vs. stock. No squeaking, comfy, and better holding in corners. I'd consider it.

Sorry for reserecting an old thread, but i thought it better than making a new one.
I recently dropped a can of soup on the driver's seat plastic trim while getting into my car the other day. Darn those plastic shopping bags. the can managed to chip a piece off of the plastic trim and now has an ugly hole in it. I asked the stealer about replacing the trim and was quoted $180.
WTF! It's just a piece of plastic. They probably have to remove the seat to swap it out. Darn labor costs! Anyone know were I can get the trim piece other than the stealer and if it's easy to install?
