my headrests are electric. if you have full power seats, your headrests are electric as well.

the E-Class headrests look slightly different than the C-Class headrests.

The passenger headrest in my coupe rattles if extended at full. Dealer could not fix it, and it is no biggie - I just retract it when there are no passengers which silences it fairly well. I wonder if E-Class headrests are any better in this respect?

Did you try removing it completely and bending the rods farther apart? If it can't move, it usually won't rattle.

According to the dealer, that's exactly what they did. There is also a TSB prescribing that.
I guess I have to try just in case - back to WIS search

There was someone on these boards who put in E class headrests in their C class so that they can put in LCD screens in them. Looked nice. I believe they just fit right in.

You need only measure the distance between support posts. Why not visit a dealer ?

Can the E headrest, electric or not, move forward/backward like the w203?

Also to anybody having rattling issues from their passenger headrest, bending the rods is the answer, but do not pull them apart, you will break the plastic.. slightly bend each rod one by one with both hands on one rod...

w203 headrest does not electrically move forward/backward, you just pull it if that helps

Ok thanks, I'll assume it's the same for E class...

That is a safety feature that should be on every car....

E Class headrests look just plain silly/weird on a C Class size car. Best thing to do is have a custom pod made to encase your LCD screen on your headrest. Or you can just put screens elsewhere. I managed to slap 4 interior and 1 trunk one w/out resorting to using headrests....
