Check Your VIN

The link is to a Mercedes Benz of Russia club. It allows you to check the VIN of your car and see what options it had on it from the factory.
For some reason it says my car was delivered on:19.12.01. The cars first registration was in June 2002 so that is a bit odd. Also it says it came with cloth seats, but when I bought it (second hand private buy) it had leather seats. Go figure. There is also no mention of the sunroof as a factory option.

yeah here's my readout!
1) VIN was incorrectly introduced in the form of demand;
2) VIN was incorrectly rewritten from the documents or from the body of automobile;
3) VIN was changed in the documents or on the body by criminals.
4) The automobile is made in 2004 or 2005, is not included yet in a database
i particularly like the changed by criminals part.

yeah i thought of that, but what are they going to do. fly in, track you down, confiscate your car, because it was up for sale on ebay?
same reason i guess i dont care if my license plate shows up in pictures here. people everyday see your license plate, your car and could easily walk by and copy your VIN. lifes to short to worry about big brother.

You are all right, i'm part of the Russian mafia and am pointing you to the site to get your VIN details. Next step is for a few of my buddies to fly out to your houses and double check if you really have the car. I didnt know we had so many Stone Cold Steve Austin (Dont Trust Anybody) attitudes on here.

Seeing as how even you said some of the info you got from sending them your VIN was WRONG, which I consider making the how exercise pointless, I reiterate... THIS THREAD SUCKS!

Well considering I bought my car SECOND HAND, the information may well have been correct at the time of production you silly boy, thats the whole fun in checking, see whats been changed on your car before it came into your hands.
I suggest to the moderators that a smiley be made which states 'JIM BANVILLE SUCKS'. Get a life man, and whilst your at it, get some common sense.
