Thinking about a C230 Sedan
I am starting to learn a little about how the car comes. I am leasing the car and stuff. The biggest thing that is just killing me is the acquistion fee of the damn lease car is $1500 in the state of NY. &^@%^!
I need some personal opinions from current owners of the car when it comes to options. I am currently trying to keep the payments low on the car without putting a lot of money down. So i might have to skimp on some of the options. The color choices I am looking at are black, white and brilliant silver. I reasoning to myself though that if I pick the white I can get the lighting package. How much better is the lighting at night driving the car? Also on the transmission, Is it easy to drive manual on this car. I currently do not know how to drive stick too well. I did some limited driving on my friends mustang but I wouldn't say I am comfortable on it yet. (My friend said I did pretty good) I couldn't do it on my other friend's POS 88 Mazada 626, the car kept on stalling.
I am thinking if I get manual and white paint I can save a bit of money and have the xeons and get good at driving stick, which I do want to do, but just a bit nervous about it.
There are lots of C230s on the dealer lots at the moment and if you can take one off his lot you should be able to get a good price.
The none metallic colors are fine choices and saving the premium for metallic is a good way of off-setting another option (lights for instance, or power driver's seat, or HK sound, or .....) that you might want.
Don't worry about the stick, you will get used to it. Just remember not to ride the clutch or you will have some expensive bills!!
The stick shift is better matched to the 230 and more fun to drive
If you search the forum you will find lots of ideas and opinions. but in the end the choice is yours.
