Some time ago I posted a thread about how a 2002 C200K's acceleration feels just as good as my 2004 C230K. As someone rightly pointed out, "feel" is the worst way to compare two cars' speeds.

So, as I promised, my friend and I took the 2 cars for a straight line acceleration test last night. Here are the results:

The C230K started pulling away the moment the accelerator is floored. It continued to pull away and by the time it reached 110kmh, I was probably 3 or 4 car lengths in front.

So...the conclusion is, my C230K is a lot faster than the C200K. Hence it is a lot faster than my E200K, which I thought was just as fast, if not faster than my C230K. Everybody in this forum was right. I was probably the only one in doubt. Anyways, I just needed to be sure. Now I'm happy. Thank you all for your attention.

Hey, alright. I give you credit for posting the follow up. The other idiocy thread about the C240 being faster than the C230 has been pretty quiet.

When the cars are nearly identical in size, wieght, and gearing, and one makes a gob lot more HP, there's really no way for the underdog to prove the naysayers wrong.
